Neo Feeder PDDikti: What It Is and How to Prepare Your Campus Reporting Data

By the Kampusin Team, PT Creative Digitech Indonesia · · 7 min read

Neo Feeder is the application for reporting higher education data to PDDikti. Understand the workflow and how to prepare data so it is not rejected.

What are PDDikti and Neo Feeder?

PDDikti (Pangkalan Data Pendidikan Tinggi, the national higher education database) holds data on universities, study programs, lecturers, students, and graduates. Neo Feeder is the application universities use to send data from their internal systems to PDDikti.

Campuses usually run Neo Feeder locally, then send data to it through a web service. This is why the quality of the data in your SIAKAD largely determines how smoothly reporting goes.

Data that is commonly reported

  • Study programs and curricula, including courses.
  • Students and their education history.
  • Lecturers and teaching assignments.
  • Classes, KRS, and grades.
  • Student Learning Activity (Aktivitas Kuliah Mahasiswa, AKM) each semester.
  • Students who graduate or leave.

Common causes of data problems

  • Incomplete student data, for example blank or invalid identity or contact details.
  • Classes with no lecturer or no participants.
  • Grades that are not yet locked or do not match the grading scale.
  • Student status (active, on leave, graduated) that is inconsistent with AKM.
  • Entry or graduation dates outside the valid semester range.

New rules and why validating before sending matters

Reporting rules can change between Neo Feeder versions. The best practice is to validate data in the SIAKAD before sending, so problems and their reasons are caught up front rather than after rejection.

Kampusin provides a data readiness check based on Neo Feeder 3.1 rules, complete with an impact panel that shows problematic data and its causes. Sending itself is controlled by an administrator switch with layered safeguards. Note: the rules that apply in your campus's Feeder should still be checked against the official guidelines.

Practical steps to prepare reporting

  • Make sure your campus's Neo Feeder is on the latest version and connected to PDDikti.
  • Complete the master data for students and lecturers in the SIAKAD.
  • Lock grades and make sure the current semester's AKM is calculated.
  • Run the readiness validation, fix the findings, and repeat until clean.
  • Send in stages, from reference data to transaction data.

Frequently asked questions

Is Neo Feeder the same as PDDikti?

No. PDDikti is the national database, while Neo Feeder is the application campuses use to send data to it.
