SISTER: Its Role for Lecturer Data, Workload (BKD), Research, and Community Service

SISTER stores lecturer resource data. Learn what it does and why integrating it with your SIAKAD saves time.

What is SISTER?

SISTER (Sistem Informasi Sumberdaya Terintegrasi, the Integrated Resource Information System) is a ministry-owned system that manages higher education resource data, especially lecturers. It records lecturer profiles, education, academic rank, civil service grade, certification, as well as research, publications, and community service.

Why does SISTER matter for campuses?

  • It is the reference for lecturer data in Lecturer Workload (BKD) assessment.
  • It is a source of evidence for research, publication, and community service performance.
  • It supports lecturer data for study program and institutional accreditation.

The problem with retyping data

Many campuses retype lecturer data from SISTER into internal applications for BKD and performance reports. This is slow, error-prone, and the data quickly becomes outdated as soon as lecturers update their profiles.

Safe integration: read-only

A good integration only needs to read data from SISTER, without writing back. That way the source data stays intact. Kampusin pulls HR profiles, education, academic rank, civil service grade, certification, as well as research, publications, and community service in read-only mode, then uses them for BKD, lecturer performance, and quality indicators. Credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown on screen.
